STEAMscape for Sustainability is an Erasmus+ project that combines STEAM education, game-based learning and sustainability. Through educational escape games, the project aims to make learning more engaging while helping students explore real-world environmental and social challenges.
The project primarily supports teachers, educators and students from primary to secondary education. It provides educators with innovative teaching resources while encouraging students to develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and digital skills.
The STEAMscape Digital Hub will provide a collection of at least 50 STEAM escape games, including digital and printable activities, as well as educator guides, lesson resources and professional development materials. The platform will also include at least 10 online training modules for educators, featuring videos, readings and quizzes.
The games combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics with important sustainability themes. The project’s core games address Sustainable Development Goals related to Climate Action, Responsible Consumption and Production, Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, and Affordable and Clean Energy.
Educators can use the Digital Hub to discover adaptable escape games, access practical teaching resources and learn how to design and integrate game-based activities into their lessons. The platform will also include a community/forum feature where educators can exchange experiences, strategies and good practices with colleagues from different educational contexts.
